Earth Day Sustainable Tees

At the LAB, we believe in the importance of taking Care of our one and only home, making use of sustainable and environmentally friendly resources as well as changing the way we imagine Caring for our fashion items.

We underwent the thorough process of creating sustainable tees using the least harmful, most environmentally-friendly and natural methods & resources we could find.

We teamed up with the family at Pot Plant Club to create a line of Earth Day themed, sustainably made T-shirts that spread crucial messaging which we hold closely to our core.

Proceeds from the sale of these tees will support Bo-Kaap helpers, a community vegetable Garden in Cape Town. Led by Abieda Charles, this garden provides fresh produce and promotes sustainability within our community.

Plantable Swing Tags & Sleeves

Each of these sustainable T-shirts come with a plantable swing tag. This seeded swing tag is made out of seeded paper- when planted in soil and given the correct Care, it will grow into tomatoes!

As we are a brand centred around prolonging the life of your garments while reducing waste, with each T-shirt bought we gave away a box of our Apparel Wipes that are sleeved in the same seeded paper as the swing tags are made of.

Sustainable & Environmentally Friendly

Turmeric, Beetroot Dye & Eco Ink

Cream colourway: naturally dyed with beetroot juice.
Pink colourway: naturally dyed with turmeric powder.
Artwork: printed using black eco ink on blanks.

REJECT COTTON ROLL

We made use of a 180GSM cotton that came from a roll that was damaged and had marks on it - the roll had been marked “reject” and would have been discarded if we had not made use of it.
